National Holocaust Remembrance Week

National Holocaust Remembrance Week

Holocaust Remembrance Week is a time when we remember the millions of people who were hurt or killed during the Holocaust and learn why it is important to treat everyone with kindness and respect. During this week, we learn about standing up for others, accepting people’s differences, and making choices that help create a safe and caring community. Remembering the past helps us understand how our actions today can make the world a better place.

To honor Holocaust Remembrance Week, McKamy Elementary will be hosting daily challenges that encourage kindness, acceptance, community, responsibility, and being an UPstander—someone who speaks up and helps others. Each day, students will have a chance to show caring actions, include others and make positive choices at school. By working together, we can make our campus a welcoming place where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.
