What a pleasure it is to join the Trailblazer Family! I have been an educator since 2010 and a lover of learning all my life! Born and raised in Louisiana, I’ve taught various grades including 3rd, 5th, 7th and 8th. I was honored to be named District Secondary Teacher of the Year for Caddo Parish Schools. I became a proud Texan and CFB teacher in 2021 at Polk Middle School. There I served in several capacities including: 7th and 8th grade with  leadership experience including Instructional Facilitator which earned IF of the year for CFB; Department Manager; Instructional Dean, and facilitator of several committees.
 
When I am not working with students and teachers I enjoy spending time with my husband whom I married only 2 days ago and traveling to new places.  It's been a busy summer for sure and I can’t wait to dive into all things McKamy!
